Yes. We are certified and monitored by HMS. Our founder, Rachid, hand-slaughters all the animals himself following HMS guidelines. This is the only organization with the Sharia board of America, a non-profit that leads the way in monitoring halal slaughter. We support their work because their mission is aligned with ours. We don't support for-profit certifying organizations because many are involved in questionable practices that compromise on the hand zabiha Shariah requirement. They allow machine slaughter, stunning, and other methods that contradict the true meaning of halal.
We do offer larger bulk shares of beef. Additionally, we provide delivery directly to your residence. Our 1/4 and 1/8 beef bundles are typically available year-round, while custom-cut 1/2 and whole beef shares can be arranged upon request at any time during the year.
Our farm may not have formal certifications for organic or grass-fed practices, but we go above and beyond USDA organic standards by using regenerative techniques like rotational grazing. This enhances the well-being of our animals and the environment alike. It maintains soil integrity, boosts vitality, and ensures our livestock enjoy a nutrient-rich diet free from harmful chemicals. We avoid synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers. Instead of pursuing costly certifications that would raise our prices without adding real value, we believe in radical transparency. This lets you see for yourself that our practices produce meat that’s healthier, more humane, and better for the land.
No, the chicken sold at Restaurant Depot is not sourced from our farm. While it’s labeled as "Halal and Tayyib wholesome chicken," it’s actually produced by Koch Foods — one of the largest poultry processors in the country — and undergoes mechanical slaughter. We do not currently offer wholesale options. Our chickens are raised on our small family farm, hand-slaughtered, processed by us, and delivered directly to customers.
