What Is Aqeeqah? 📖 “Every child is mortgaged by their Aqeeqah, so slaughter for them on the seventh day, shave their head, and give them a name.” — (Ibn Majah) Aqeeqah is a highly recommended Sunnah and a way of expressing gratitude to Allah SWT for the blessing of a child. While some scholars, like Imam Hasan Al-Basri, view it as obligatory, the majority consider it Sunnah Mu’akkadah (strongly encouraged). When Should Aqeeqah Be Performed? ✅ Preferably on the 7th day after birth ✅ If delayed, it can be performed on the 14th, 21st, or the earliest convenience ⚠️ Avoid unnecessary delays—secure your sacrifice early due to limited availability of grass-fed animals. What animals can be sacrificed for Aqeeqah? 1 goat or lamb per child ✅ The same rules as Qurbani apply regarding age, health, and condition of the animal. ✅ The meat can be distributed to the poor, used for a feast, or shared with family and friends. 📖 The Prophet (SAW) sacrificed one goat each for his grandsons Al-Hasan and Al-Husayn. What is recommended on the day of Aqeeqah? 1️⃣ Give the child a good name. 2️⃣ Shave the child's head. 3️⃣ Weigh the shaved hair and donate its equivalent value in gold as charity. Cost of Aqeeqah & Meat Cutting Options The average cost of a Qurbani is $500, with the final price depending on your preferred cutting method. Meat Cutting Options: 🔪 Ethnic Cut – Small/medium stew pieces ($105) 🍖 Standard Cut – Includes 4 leg shanks, 2 leg roasts, 2 shoulders, 2 racks, loin chops, and sliced neck ($115) 📌 Custom Cut – Choose exactly how you want your meat cut ($125) 📌 A deposit is required to reserve your Aqeeqah. 📌 Due to necessary chilling before cutting, delivery takes a few days. 🚚 Local or Nationwide – We’ve Got You Covered! Whether you're nearby or miles away, we ensure your Aqeeqah is performed with care and in accordance with Islamic principles. Can I donate my Aqeeqah? ✅ Absolutely!
