Rachid, the founder of Halal-N-Tayyib, has had a remarkable journey—from growing up in a small village in Morocco to becoming a math teacher and aspiring farmer in Macon, Georgia. His path is defined by a deep commitment to education and a shift towards a sustainable lifestyle.
Together with his wife, Rachid began homesteading to provide healthier food options for their children, who face serious food allergies. This personal struggle to find genuinely Halal hand-slaughtered Zabiha and Tayyib meats is what ultimately inspired them to start farming.
