"I want you to question your food. Where did come form? How was it grown? How did it get to you? And what was the impact that it had on the earth, other species, and the humans that grow that food?" - Bobb Green Field
"Whoever is kind to the creatures of God, is kind to himself."
- The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), narrated by Abdallah bin Amru in Bukhari and Muslim collections
In addition to the meat we produce on our farm, we also purchase-in animals from like-minded farmers right here in our neighborhood. This partnership ensures that we can offer a consistent variety of delicious meat raised in a humane and ecological manner all year long. We only work with like minded farmers who believe in our core values in producing grass-fed animals using regenerative agriculture and rearing methods. Our mission is to connect you with where your food comes from because we believe that when you know where and how your meat was raised, you're able to make better decisions for yourself, your family and your health. How about our 100% grass-fed grass finished heritage breed Black Angus and the finest organic pasture-raised chicken raised our farm in Gray Georgia? Or the succulent lamb raised on organic grass on Jaconda farm in Montezuma, Georgia?
Knowing how to get proper nutrients is equally as important as knowing where your food comes from. Understanding the story behind your food helps you make informed decisions for your mind and body. We work with farms that understand high-quality meat is achieved from the ground up. By first caring for the soil and water, animals have healthy, abundant pastures for grazing. There are no unnecessary chemicals or hormones, and the use of antibiotics is avoided or extremely limited. This symbiotic, regenerative approach means farms can work in harmony with the surrounding environment, while ethically and humanely caring for the animals to reduce stress. These tried-and-true farming practices are beneficial for your well-being. Pasture-raised meat is lower in saturated fat and higher in vitamins, antioxidants and nutrients, including Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids. It also tastes better than anything you've ever tried — boasting bold flavors, beautiful colors and luscious tenderness. |

Our Grass-fed Black Angus BeefOur cows are pure Black Angus breed graze on local, native, and seasonal grasses. These cattle are pasture raised, grass fed, and free range. They are never given hormones or antibiotics. Most cattle are sent off to feed lot at about the age of 6 months to “finish”, just after they are weaned from their mamas, and are penned up eating nothing but cracked corn, growth hormones and steroids. Cows in nature eat nothing but grass. In fact their stomachs aren’t even designed to process corn, but it sure will put the weight on quickly.
On this farm, beef cattle spend their entire life free grazing pastures. They do receive supplemental hay in the winter and are able to graze winter annuals. They also receive vitamin and mineral supplementation. |
"Consumers have been led to believe that meat is meat is meat. In other words, no matter what an animal is fed, the nutritional value of its products remains the same. This is not true. An animal’s diet can have a profound influence on the nutrient content of its products." - Why grass-fed Is Best! Author: Jo Johnson
