Welcome to our FAQ section! At Halal-N-Tayyib, we believe in complete transparency and are committed to providing our customers with the highest quality Halal meat. We understand the importance of ensuring that the meat you consume meets both your dietary and ethical standards. That's why we follow strict Zabiha practices, ensuring that every animal is slaughtered in accordance with the most authentic and ethical Halal methods. In this section, we address some of the most common questions about our Halal Zabiha certification, slaughter practices, and our commitment to maintaining the highest level of integrity. We’re here to provide you with the clarity and confidence you deserve in your food choices. Why Is Your Meat Zabiha and Not Just Halal?
Halal refers to what is permissible to eat according to Islamic law, while Zabiha specifically describes the method of slaughter required for meat to be truly Halal. We follow the strictest definition of Halal slaughter, ensuring that all our meat is Zabiha-compliant. Are You Halal Zabiha Certified? Yes, we are certified and monitored by HMS (Halal Monitoring Services). Our founder, Rachid, personally hand-slaughters all animals in accordance with HMS guidelines. View our certification here. Why Do You Choose HMS for Certification? HMS is the only organization in the U.S. with a Sharia Board that operates as a non-profit, strictly monitoring Halal slaughter practices. Their mission aligns with our commitment to maintaining the integrity of Zabiha Halal standards. Why Don’t You Work With Other Halal Certifiers? We have chosen not to collaborate with for-profit certifying bodies because some allow practices like machine slaughter, stunning, and other methods that we believe compromise the fundamental principles of Halal and Zabiha. Our goal is to ensure the highest level of adherence to Islamic dietary laws without commercial influence. Who Slaughters Your Animals? Unlike many prominent Halal meat companies with questionable certifications, we ensure that every animal is personally hand-slaughtered by the owner. Our founder, Rachid, follows strict Zabiha Shariah guidelines for all slaughters. We support HMS (Halal Monitoring Services) because their mission aligns with ours, and we trust their commitment to authentic Halal practices. We deliberately avoid working with for-profit certifying bodies that may use practices like machine slaughter, stunning, or other methods that compromise the integrity of Zabiha Halal requirements in pursuit of financial gain. These practices are inconsistent with the true principles of Halal, and we prioritize maintaining the highest standards of authenticity.
