Our Name

Regrettably, there is a significant focus on consuming Zabiha Halal, while the importance of Tayyib meat is often overlooked. However, Tayyib meat holds equal significance and is deeply rooted in our Islamic principles. We firmly believe that consuming Tayyib food is not merely a luxury or a matter of making healthier choices; it is a religious obligation that demonstrates our submission to the beautiful design of our creator.

​The pursuit of Halal and Tayyib food is intricately connected to our faith. In Islam, the treatment, rearing, health, and welfare of animals, as well as their rights over humans, are all equally vital considerations. The method of slaughter is also of utmost importance. It is crucial to understand that Tayyib is not novel concept; it has always been fundamental principle and intention of Islam. In fact, the Quran mentions Tayyib  along Halal at least four times, such as in Surah al-Baqarah verse 168. This is precisely why we chose to name our farm business Halal-N-Tayyib.

Our name Halal-N-Tayyib (Halal and Tayyib, Halal wa Tayyib, Halalan Tayyiban) comes straight from the Quraan where Allah SWT mentioned Halal and Tayyib together. For us:

• Halal: humane stun-free and horizontally hand slaughtering process.
• Tayyib: the highest form of animal caring, rearing, and processing. Regeneratively raised on nutrient dense pastures without hormones, antibiotics, steroids, GMO's, and processed without any additives, or preservatives.

"O mankind, eat from whatever is on earth [that is] lawful (Halal) and good (Tayyib) and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy." ​ ​[Surat Al-Baqarah Aya 168]

Regrettably, the food industry is filled with dishonesty, especially when it comes to the sourcing and processing of meat. The Halal meat industry is not immune to this issue, as it is infiltrated by many unethical individuals and organizations who are solely focused on financial gain, ignoring the moral guidelines of Shariah. These entities do not hesitate to compromise on these principles to meet their production targets, leading to a crisis of confidence among many Muslims regarding the reliability of organizations certifying meat processors and plants.

​At Halal-N-Tayyib, we refuse to contribute to the erosion of our food supply by large corporations, committing ourselves to ethical conduct characterized by honesty, integrity, and fairness in all our endeavors. Our primary goal is to provide you with direct insight into the origins and processing methods of the meat you consume. Our livestock is exclusively born and raised on our farm, eliminating the need to purchase animals from auctions or unknown sources. Furthermore, all animals are hand-slaughtered by the owner and processed in small batches at a Halal-certified USDA facility, which is family-owned and boasts over thirty years of experience in the industry.

7. Education

​We prioritize knowledge and therefore, we do not tolerate any misinformation or fear-inducing tactics on our website. Our aim is to provide clear and concise information about our practices and the health benefits of consuming nutritious food.

We are dedicated to sharing this knowledge with everyone. For instance, we have recently received numerous inquiries regarding the chicken sold at The Restaurant Depot and other Halal meat markets, questioning if we are the source of this chicken. The chicken packaging is labeled as "Halal and Tayyib wholesome chicken" and is produced by Koch Foods, a prominent poultry processor in the country. We express our gratitude to all the individuals who contacted us to verify this information. It is crucial to always verify and investigate such claims. Therefore, we want to clarify that we have no affiliation whatsoever with this company or any other markets.
