In addition to supplying wholesome meat, we are also able to assist you in fulfilling your religious obligations, such as Eid al-Adha, Aqeeqah, or Nazr. When you choose to order your Udhiya through us, you have the option to donate all or part of your sacrifice to those who are less fortunate.

The animals we offer for sacrifice are exclusively bred and nurtured on our farm. We have a strict policy of not acquiring any animals from auctions or unfamiliar sources. Only animals that are in good health and have undergone thorough inspections are permitted for sacrifice.

What is Qurbani/Udhiya

Qurbani, or Udhiyah as it known in Arabic, is the word that describes the sacrifice of an animal to Allah SWT during the period of Eid ul-Adha. On Eid Ul-Adha, which marks the completion of the annual Hajj pilgrimage, the Muslim world celebrates and honors the tradition of the Prophet Ibrahim (Alayhi Salaam) by sacrificing an animal and distributing the meat to those in need. ​Qurbani teaches us obedience, devotion and promotes the idea of helping other Muslim brothers and sisters. The meat from Qurbani is divided into three portions; one for the family, one for the neighbor and one for the poor. Islam preaches about neighbors’ rights and of those who live in poverty. Qurbani, therefore, serves as a means to look out for the poor and the needy

What is Dhul Hijjah

Dhul Hijjah is the final month in the Islamic calendar, the month in which Muslims all over the globe embark on Hajj and offer their Qurbani sacrifices for the love of Allah (SWT). The first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah are actually the most sacred days of the whole year, and our Prophet Muhammad (SAW) tells us that “there are no days in which good works are more beloved to Allah than these days” (Bukhari).

The days of Qurbani are the 10th, 11th and 12th of the month of Dhul Hijjah in the Lunar calendar

What animals are sacrificed at Qurbani

​The animals to be slaughtered at Qurban are goats, sheep, cattle (cows or bulls), buffalo or camels. According to the rules of Qurbani, they can be male or female, but should be in good health, free from disability or handicap, and above a certain age. Goats and sheep must be at least one year old, while cattle must be two years, and camels five years

How many Qurbani animals do I have to sacrifice

​Qurban animals have shares. Sheep and goats have one share each, cattle each have seven shares. So for a single person, Qurbani is fulfilled with a sheep or a goat. Up to seven people can share in the purchase of a cow or a camel, and the sacrifice will be made for the seven.

• 1 Qurbani: six month+ old lamb, a one year+ old goat, or 2 plus years cow. A cow had seven Qurbani shares.

When is the deadline for giving Qurbani?

We will stop taking Qurbani after the second day of Eid

What is the Cost of Qurbani

The cost of Qurbani is based on the sacrificed animal. A deposit is required to reserve your Udhiya. It will be applied to the final cost. Once we have received the deposit payment, your Qurbani will be reserved in the order it came in. In case we run out of selected animals, we will try our best to accommodate each and every one. Since the Qurbani carcass must be chilled prior to cutting, it will take a few days before the meat is ready for delivery.

Lamb/Goat Cost:

• Cost: $350 (lamb), $375 (goat) + Bucher's Fees based on the selected cutting method.
• $200 Deposit + Bucher Fees (Payment #1 Only)​
• Average Net Weight (based on the standard cut): 34 lbs.
• The 2nd Payment is due a day before Eid or latest before the sacrifice is offered. 

Lamb/goat Cutting Methods:

• Ethnic cut: Cut into small or medium stew meat pieces.
• ​Standard Cut: Includes 4 leg shanks, 2 leg roasts, 2 shoulders, 2 racks, loin chops, and sliced neck.
• Custom Cut: This is where you get to tell us exactly how you would like your lamb/goat to be cut. ​​A Custom Cut Sheet form will be shared with you after confirmation.

Cow Qurbani Cost (all included):

How are Qurbani animals chosen

The animals will be the appropriate age as set out by Sharia law. The animals will not have any external wounds or injuries, nor will they be physically disabled or have any visible cuts or marks. We will take the utmost care to ensure that our Qurbani takes place in accordance with Islamic principles

What is the method of the sacrifice

According to Islamic Law, the legal purification of the flesh of animals requires that the following conditions be met:

• Making of the intention.
• It is preferable to make the throat of the animal face the Qibla (i.e. mustahab).
• Using a sharp knife swiftly cut the windpipe, the gullet and the two jugular veins, do not sever the entire head.
• Recite the name of Allah SWT (tasmiyah), while slaughtering the animal (Preferably aloud).
• Skinning of the animal should only commence once the animal stops kicking.
• Keep meat and offal separate, clean and refrigerate as soon as possible.

What is the process like for the meat distribution?

Aqeeqah FAQs

What is the ruling on Aqeeqah? 

​Aqeeqah is a great Sunnah. It is part of the legacy inherited from Prophet Ibrahim (peace and blessings be upon him) and a great Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet said, “Every boy is mortgaged by his aqeeqah, so slaughter for him on the seventh day, and shave his head, and name him.” (Ibn Majah).

According to the vast majority of scholars in Islam, aqeeqah is a highly recommended practice (Sunnah). There is, however, a small minority of scholars who consider it obligatory. This is the position of Imam Hasan Al-Basri.

Lastly, the significance of aqeeqah is that it is part of the Abrahamic legacy. Prophet Ibrahim (peace and blessings be upon him) was a man of tawhid (belief in the Oneness of Allah), and his entire life typified that of a perfect muwahhid or monotheist. He abolished sacrifices or rituals to deities other than Allah and allowed sacrifices and prayers to be directed solely to Allah. The rituals associated with aqeeqah, therefore, can be considered as a child’s initiation into the lessons of tawhid.

In short, Aqeeqah is a great Sunnah, which all Muslims should practice, especially if they have the means to do so.

This will help us make proper arrangements to make it happen Insha'Allah. What can I sacrifice for Aqeeqah?

Aqeeqah involves sacrificing a goat or lamb on behalf of the child. It is giving thanks to Allah for the gift of a child. Its meat is distributed to the poor or can be used to arrange a feast to which the poor as well as relatives and friends are invited. The same conditions are stipulated for the ‘aqeeqah as for the udhiyah as far as age and health conditions of the animals: the animal should have reached the right age and should be free of defects . Read more >

It is reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sacrificed a goat each for his grandsons Al-Hasan and Al-Husayn. It is recommended that, on the day of aqeeqah, the child is given a good name, his/her head is shaved, and his/her hair is weighed and the equivalent in money of its weight in gold is given in charity. ​
